چکیده

مناسبات جمهوری اسلامی ایران و عربستان سعودی پس از انقلاب اسلامی دستخوش تغییر و تحولات اساسی شد و از آن زمان تاکنون بر مدار تنش و بحرانهای متوالی نظم و نسق یافته و به ندرت عادی بوده است. موقعیت ژئواستراتژیک، ژئوپولیتیک، ژئواکونومیک و ژئوکالچر دو کشور روابط آنها را برای منطقه و جهان بسیار با اهمیت ساخته از این‌رو، محققین بسیاری تمرکز خاصی برروابط دو کشورداشته اما موضوع قابل تامل این است که اکثر قریب به اتفاق این پژوهشگران اعم از داخلی و خارجی از منظر رئالیسم به تجزیه و تحلیل روابط پر افت و خیز دو کشور پرداخته ‌و بحران و باز رخداد بحران در روابط آنها را تابعی از اصول و مفروضه‌های رئالیسم فرض کرده و تحلیل نموده‌اند.در حالی که منافع ملی و سیاست خارجی دو کشور و به تبع منازعات و بحرانها محصول ژرف ساختهای اجتماعی و هویتی متضاد آنها بوده و اتفاقاً مفروضه‌های رئالیسم نیز بر اساس عناصر اجتماعی و هویتی متضاد دو کشور معنا می‌شوند. این پژوهش با نیم نگاهی به ساخت اجتماعی و سازه‌انگاری، یک خوانش تعارضی بر کاربست رئالیسم در روابط آنها است. بنابراین سوال اصلی این پژوهش این است، آیا پارادایم رئالیسم قابلیت تبیین بحران‌های متوالی در روابط دو کشور را دارد؟ داده‌های پژوهش به طور جدی کاربست تئوری رئالیسم را با تردید اساسی مواجه ساخته وصلاحیت داوری آن را به زیر سوال برده است. در این پژوهش از روش تحلیلی و توصیفی استفاده شده و شیوه جمع آوری داده‌ها،به صورت اسنادی و کتابخانه‌ای می‌باشد.
