چکیده
بحران آذربایجان از جمله رویدادهایی است که بررسی تحولات آن از اهمیت وافری برخوردار است. آغاز و پایان غائله آذربایجان را می‌توان در سه سطح مورد بحث قرار داد: سطح فردی و تاکید بر اقدامات کسانی چون پیشه‌وری و قوام، سطح ملی؛ نقش ظلم‌های دولت پهلوی اول به مردم آذربایجان به عنوان عامل شروع بحران و رویکردهای نهادهای ملی(ارتش، مجلس و دولت) در پایان دادن به آن؛ و نهایتا سطح بین‌المللی که در آن باید به نقش قدرت‌های مهم متفق در جنگ جهانی دوم به عنوان عامل مهم آغاز و پایان بحران تاکید کرد. بر این اساس این مقاله نیز تلاش می‌کند تا این واقعه را در چارچوب نظم بین المللی و رویارویی قدرت‌های بزرگ مورد واکاوی قرار دهد. در این چارچوب سوالی که در این پژوهش مورد بررسی قرار می‌گیرد از این قرار است: شباهت و تفاوت رفتار ایالات متحده و انگلیس در بحران آذربایجان را چگونه می‌توان تحلیل کرد؟ این پژوهش تاکید دارد با توجه به اینکه جنگ جهانی دوم برهه‌ای است که هژمون پیشین جای خود را به هژمون جدید می‌دهد، در چارچوب نظریه نظام جهانی والرشتاین و باتاکید بر مفهوم هژمون می‌توان به تحلیل شباهت‌ها و یا تفاوت‌‌های الگوی رفتاری دو قدرت بزرگ دنیا در این رویداد پرداخت. در این چارچوب این مقاله با رویکردی مقایسه‌ای و گردآوری داده‌های کتابخانه‌ای این رویداد مهم را مورد تحلیل قرار می‌دهد.
