Abstract
The media plays an important role in contemporary conflicts, as visual warfare occurs alongside military confrontation. The ISIS terrorist group has demonstrated a clear example of using images as part of its war strategy by using various platforms to convey its narrative to others. This study evaluates the impact of the image of the ISIS Takfiri Front on its growth and expansion in Iraq, Syria, and the West Asian region. Therefore, the main question of the present article is what has been the advantage of ISIS psychological tactics in the light of multifaceted critical discourse analysis? The results of the descriptive-analytical study show that ISIS, through its media strategy through psychological tactics, has the ability to strategically create and maintain its image as a powerful organization in the form of projecting power, violence, and Islamic religious messages, thereby facilitating the growth and expansion of its ideology in Iraq, Syria, and other countries.
