During the previous years the geo-politic of South Asia has been a scene for competition of New-Delhi and Beijing thanks to the latter’s the Belt and Road Initiative. AbstractChina and India's rapid growth and development in recent years, with two different political structures, have made them an attractive phenomenon in development issues. In so far as that, the two countries have become models for other developing societies which seek to understand the relationship between political structure and development. India is a country with a democratic infrastructure, but China has an authoritarian and centralized system. The present paper seeks to examine the relationship between political structure and economic development in India and China based on the model of the developmental state of Adrian Leftwich. Therefore, the current article investigates the relationship between political structure and economic development in these two countries. We hypothesize that the existence of developmental state indicators in these two countries has led to the economic development of India and China. The level of democratic freedom does not necessarily determine development. This study shows that the existence of the characteristics of a developmental state, including developmental elites, the relative independence of the state, strong bureaucracy, and weak civil society, has provided the necessary grounds for development in China and India. This paper is based on data and documentary-library

According to historical documents, mutual relations between Iran and India have a long historical background. However, in the modern era and in the form of modern governments, relations between these two countries started in 1947. Despite the existence of intervening variables before and after the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Iran and India have never undergone serious tensions and always tried to settle any tension or ambiguity in their relations. Nowadays, thanks to interdependencies and issues of common concern, Iran and India have acceptable and progressive relations with each other. Hence, the present research aims to find the main factors underlying geopolitical interdependencies between Iran and India. The present research was a descriptive-analytic study and the required information was collected through library studies and reviewing valid books, reports, and articles. The findings showed that variables such as common security concerns, common interests in the field of energy, Iran’s good geographical position for India to get access to Afghanistan and Central Asia, the role of Chabahar port in the North-South corridor, and interests and participation (strategic, economic, and developmental) of these two countries in Afghanistan play an important and vital role in the type and level of relations between Iran and India.

The link between international conflict and economy linkage is one of the focal subjects in international political economy (IPE). The aim of this article is to scrutinise the impact of the economic factor on managing Indo-Pakistan conflict based on IPE approaches. So, the article organizes as follows: first, it is tried to provide a brief coherent theoretical framework concentrated on conflict-economy linkage; this contributes to idenifying two macro variables: bilateral cooperation and economy-oriented policy. Second, Indo-Pakistan cooperation is studied through two indices of bilateral trade and investment. Third, using available data, it is demonstrated that economy-oriented policy by the countries has deterred them from reciprocal hostile actions and led them to prudent conducts. The paper will be ended with a conclusion.
